This cable can be used in two ways:

If you own a high-end high definition TV then you'll want to get the best picture possible. While the HD component cables produce a very good quality picture, they are still carrying analogue signals. The only digitial connection for Xbox 360 is with a VGA cable - for the BEST picture. In order to use this cable on a TV, your TV will need a VGA input.
